This elegant ring combines clear, high-quality borosilicate glass with a captivating, extra-large blue Gilson opal. The opal measures approximately 4 to 5 mm and sparkles in intense shades of blue that shift depending on the light. Unlike my other designs with delicate 2 mm opals, this larger stone takes center stage and displays an impressive play of color.
Gilson opals are known for their iridescent colors and vibrant luster. The blue opal evokes the play of light on water – calming, profound, and magical. For centuries, the opal has been considered a stone of creativity and inspiration. It is believed to help stimulate the imagination, promote positive energy, and strengthen inner balance.
